Legal Cashier

We require a full time Legal Cashier in our Gravesend office, the role will report to the Finance Manager and work within a small team, the role will be a variety of both Office and Client account administration. Candidates need to be proactive with an eye for detail, communicate well with their immediate colleagues and prioritise workloads whilst meeting deadlines.  An understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules is imperative for this role.
Daily responsibilities include:

• Production of Office and Client Account cheques.
• Processing Office and Client Account receipts.
• Processing Client to Office transfers.
• Bank Reconciliations for Client Account on a daily basis.
• Processing payments including Chaps & BACs.
• Assisting with Residual client balances.
• Checking completion statements.
• Checking and Posting of Invoices.
• Posting daily Land Searches from online accounts.
• Assisting with the firm’s archiving requirements when necessary.

Successful candidates must have experience of working as a Legal Cashier as part of a legal environment.  Applicants must also be fully conversant with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and VAT Regulations.  Experience of Partner4Windows (Tikit) would be advantageous, and candidates should be competent using Outlook, Excel and Word.  Applicants should also be willing to work additional hours as required at busy periods.

Private Client Solicitor

We require an experienced and highly skilled Solicitor to Join our busy Private Client Department. You will have proven expertise spanning private client and estates planning matters. You will have extensive background and knowledge in:

• Wills, Trust and Probate
• Estate and Care Fees Planning
• Wills and Will Writing
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Trusts and Trust Administration
• Probate and Administration of Estates
• Inheritance Tax Planning and Investments

The candidate should have several years’ experience as a Solicitor and be able to work within a busy team as well as manage a large and varied caseload.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
